Hola amigos/amigas!

We made it to Easter Island yesterday after a VERY
long journey! We are both doing really well apart
from some jet lag.

We were in Sydney for 2 nights and had some drama on
the last night, after witnessing an all-out assault
from this guy (in his 20s) in the GOOD part of town
near Darling Harbor smashing this girl (in her 20s) in
the side of her head. Did not know each other, she
did not provoke him, etc so the police caught him
doing it and asked us to give a written statement.
This took about 2.5 hours. The guy is locked up for a
LONG time.

Our flight from Sydney to Easter Island stopped in
Tahiti for what was supposed to be 4 hours, but was
delayed for a total of 8 hours in the middle of the
night. We were so exhausted when we got in at 3pm
here, so pretty much collapsed. Today we rented a car
for 2 days and all day we went around the island
seeing hundreds of Moai statues - how amazing!!!

Well, better run. Internet cafes are really expensive
here, but i was surprised they even have one in such a
remote place of the world! Hope you are all doing
well!
