Downtown Saint Petersburg | View from the top of Saint Isaacs Cathedral |
Saint Isaacs Cathedral is my favorite church in Saint Petersburg with amazing white and gold themes inside, incredible architecture outside, and a breathtaking view of the city from the top of the rotunda. If you go there during the winter, be sure to take someone along who is insane enough to go up to take photos (like my fiance did - he gets credit for this photo)! |
| | St P is very friendly to public transportation options, but don't expect them to be clean or the people riding them to be polite. I don't recommend taking children on public transportation during rush hour. |
| Church of the Blood (Resurrection) |
| | This church is absolutely incredible since the entire exterior is a mosaic made up of tons of one-inch-square coloured tiles!!! The detail is phenomenal and if you get a chance to ride through the canals of the city in a small boat, definitely request to be taken by this church! |
