Stay tuned for some exciting photos and tips to be uploaded onto my pages during the next couple months. We took over 14,000 photos so it might take a little while to narrow it down to which ones to upload to the VT site. ;) Pardon the dust while my pages are under construction.

OUR WEDDING

Stay tuned ... I am working on a new travelogue in my Port Douglas pages about our wedding in 2004. I know it has taken me ages to get around to this ... but it will be worth the wait I hope. :)

Kayaking in Surfers Paradise, Queensland

THE LAND DOWN UNDER

My dream was always to move to Australia since I was fascinated by everything I had read and photos I had seen about it growing up in the USA.

I have lots of friends here and the love of my life & husband, Rob! :) Not to mention a great job. Adelaide is a fantastic city that is just big enough to have plenty to do and small enough to not feel crowded.

In 2002 I was lucky enough to spend a month here, which flew by too fast & then I spent 4 months here on a holiday work visa in 2003. I moved here permanently in March 2004.

Rob & I were married in August 2004 in Port Douglas, Queensland. :) We honeymooned all over far north Queensland which was wonderful!

The photo to the left was taken on 29 July, 2003, in Surfers Paradise. That same night, Rob proposed to me. :)

If you get the chance, definitely go snorkeling or scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef ... its amazing!! :)

Port Noarlunga - Jetty & Reef Wall

WHERE I HAVE LIVED

I grew up all over the east coast of the US: in Florida, Georgia,
Alabama, and Virginia. I went to college at The College of Wooster in
Ohio and George Mason University in Virginia. Jobs after college took
me to Cocoa, Florida, Hartford, Connecticut and Boston, Massachusetts.
My extended family lives in Cocoa, Florida (near the space center) and I
consider that my hometown.

Saint Petersburg, Russia

RUSSIA

I've been to Russia three times since 1997. My mother became involved in doing business with Russia back in 1992 and eventually we went to St. Petersburg as a family for 2.5 months in Nov 1997. We stopped in Frankfurt for 5 days on the way over.

The second time I went to Russia was in Sept 2001, for 2 weeks, since my mother and two sisters had been living there for 16 months already.

They lived there up until October 2003 & I went for my third visit to St Petersburg in December 2002 for Christmas & New Years with Rob (his first time visiting Russia). We stopped in Helsinki for a couple days on the way.

Hey! Happy New Year!!! I'm not sure yet. I want to go SOMEWHERE far away this coming year. I've been thinking Thailand, if I can find a willing sucker to come along. Also, may or may not be heading to NZ in 2010 on a dive expedition. Time will show...
