This is my favorite hotel in the world (well, tied with the Four Seasons Budapest), and it is nothing short of a sublime experience. Super luxe, incredible service standards, great restaurants, beautiful rooms, perfectly located on Michigan Avenue...just perfect.
Unique Qualities: The lobby, the lobby restaurant, the rooms, the spa (!), the location, the service.

Great location a block of Michigan Avenue, and a very European modern (read: minimalist) sleek design. Cool lobby bar and nice restaurant. If the better Chicago hotels are booked up, this one usually has a room available.
Unique Qualities: The design of the building, which is eye popping as it appears to curve over Chestnut Street.

Very good...no service standards, either good or bad, just a perfect suite and nice restaurant in a PERFECT location right on Michigan Avenue.
Unique Qualities: The second floor restaurant has huge floor to ceiling window walls that look out over the action on Michigan Avenue. The rooms are very nice, if not a little male clubby, but large by hotel standards.
