The burnt sienna rooftops (I am loathe to call them orange or red) couldn't be more attractive. Prague is a city that almost irritates with its beauty; it is just so obviously beauthifu...No wonder it's part of any self-respecting European travel itinerary. Any you know it is because of the volume of tour groups that occupy the historic squares, making this one world class pickpocket opportunity...especially when, say, a clock is striking the hour and everyone's hands are occupied with cameras and their shoulder bags are being rifled by even the most amateur of pickpockets. My cafe seat certainly provided a constant view of this wonderful spectator sport. |
| | The Charles Bridge entryway to Old Town's cobblestone streets, quaint storefronts, and winding walks up to the pinnacle for spectacular views below of the entire cityscape on both sides of the river. Incredible. |
| | If it's architectural proof of a God-fearing historical culture that you're looking for, Prague's got as good a portfolio of examples as you could possible desire. The engineering of these towering cathedrals, relying on tricky leveraging of sheer brute human force for execution, boggles the mind. |
