When I first got to NY, I was happy to be back in the US, but there were plenty of things I didn't like about the city. It was expensive and crowded. I missed being able to drive w/o traffic, and being surrounded by green. After couple years of living in NY though, I think I finally see why people stay in NY. There aren't too many places in this world where you can meet such a diverse group of people and experience different cultures. There are so many people here that you are bound to find a group of people with interests similar to yours. There are endless ways to meet new people and get involved in activities. You have no excuse for being bored. For me, in the end, living there for 2.5 yrs was enough.

I'm one of those people who hardly ever do the touristy thing where I live. Hence, after 2.5 yrs in NYC, I've never been to the statue of liberty, the MoMA, and other places people consider a 'must see'. Plus, I didn't have a digital camera or scanner. This is why you are getting this people shot and not too many tips and such from me. I do hope to take some city shots when I go back and visit over the summer so maybe I'll have more for you later.

• Pros:broadway shows, restaurants, bars, central park
• Cons:expensive, dirty, crowded, no place to park, very cold in winter
• In a nutshell:Don't spend too much time here unless you really like cities.
