I took a day trip from Munich on a Saturday to go check out the famouse Neuschwanstein castle. It is the castle that Walt Disney modeled the Cinderella castle after. For official information on the castle, check out this website: http://www.neuschwanstein.de/english/index.htm |
|  | The area has a lot of nice walking/hiking areas. I only did the short hikes up to the castle from the village, up to the Mary's bridge for the view of the castle you see above, and down to the gorge. If you got there early enough, you should check out the castle first thing in the morning and hike the rest of the day. Watch out for tourists too.... There were people everywhere when I went. |
