Not in a far off corner of the city, but in the heart, and so should it be. The Holocaust Memorial, comprised of six glass hollow towers (each representing a camp) and the pathway through them. This is a can't miss in Boston. The pathway thru the towers is lined with small sometimes heartening, mostly agonizing, facts about the Holocaust. The walls of the towers on the path are quotes, from survivors and some soldiers who witnessed the atrocities by the Nazi's and the death and horror, and a little hope, at the concentration camps. The towers from far away look almost frosted. But look closer... on each one, all four sides all the way to the top, is 6 million numbers. Seeing all those lives represented that way, to see what six million looks like....takes your breath away.
