Daytona at a glance Florida visitors who spend 2-3 days tramping around Orlando theme parks may find themselves ready to kick back and relax at the beach. Daytona Beach is an excellent place to slow down for a day or two. Only an hour's drive from Orlando, and most motels are cheap (but of uneven quality.). The beach is wide, shallow and nice for swimming, surfing, walking, surf fishing or bike riding. Some sections are still accessible by car. |
