Four days of fulfillment! When in Peru, I opted to do the four day hike along the Inca Trail to get to Machu Picchu...I figured it would be more spiritual and meaningful this way..kind of a "Wow, did I work hard to be here" feeling. I was right!! Walking the Inca Trail allows to you see many other of the Incan ruins that lay along the way, and gives you a real appreciation for the Incan way of life. For most Incans, their entire existence was spent moving and shapnig rocks, and building phenomenal structures with them. Pretty different than what us poor North Americans have to deal with today. All people wanting to walk the Inca Trail have to have a guide. I went through a company called Bigfoot and was thrilled with their service! |
