In 1230 AD the Kingdom of León and the Kingdom of Castilla were united by King Fernando III El Santo (Ferdinand Third, The Saint). Nowadays, Castilla y León is a self-governing Community integrated by nine provinces (Avila, Burgos, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Segovia, Valladolid and Zamora); I had the oportunity to visit only four of these nine provinces, and the beauty of Castillian landscape, the magnificent architecture of its ancient cities, the interesting history and legends, seduced me at first sight... and invited me to come back one day.

En el año 1230 AD el Reino de León y el Reino de Castilla fueron unidos por el Rey Fernando III El Santo. En la actualidad, Castilla y León es una Comunidad Autónoma integrada por nueve provincias (Avila, Burgos, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Segovia, Valladolid y Zamora); tuve la oportunidad de visitar sólo cuatro de estas nueve provincias, y la belleza del paisaje, la magnífica arquitectura de sus ciudades antiguas, sus interesantes historias y leyendas, me sedujeron a primera vista... y me invitaron a volver algún día.

I agree with GG, like something right out of Cervantes. Ready to tilt at some windmills myself, but I'll settle for these walls and aqueducts.
