Enjoy the beach... but be careful with the sunburn. Have sun baths only at the proper hours (before 11 AM or after 5 PM), and use the appropriate sun block for your skin.
Disfruta la playa... pero cuídate de las quemaduras del sol. Toma sol sólo en las horas recomendadas (antes de las 11 y después de las 17), y usa el protector solar adecuado a tu tipo de piel.

Dogs are not allowed at the beach... which in Uruguay means that everybody takes the dog to the beach! And besides, stray dogs go by their own decition... I love dogs, so this situation does not bother me, and usually there is not any problem with the dogs (they just swim or fight against the waves), but I tell you this fact, just in case...Los perros no están permitidos en la playa... lo que en Uruguay significa que todo el mundo lleva el perro a la playa! Y además, los perros vagabundos van por su cuenta... Me encantan los perros, así que esta situación no me molesta, y habitualmente no hay ningún problema (sólo nadan o se pelean con las olas), pero te cuento lo que ocurre, por las dudas...

At the beach you will find the lifeguard stall, and on the top you will see a flag; sometimes a green flag, sometimes a yellow one, and sometimes a red one. These flags show the state of the sea: green means "no danger", yellow means "be careful", and re means "do not swim if you do not want to annoy us!!!"En la playa encontrarás la caseta del guardavidas, y en el techo verás una bandera; algunas veces, una bandera verde, a veces una amarilla y a veces una roja. Estas banderas indican el estado del mar: verde significa "no hay peligro", amarilla significa "ten cuidado" y roja significa "no te bañes si no quieres que nos enojemos contigo!!!"

Summertime sometimes is firetime... Forest fires are sadly frequent, especially if the season is particularly dry. So please, be careful with bonfires and even with lit cigarettes.Algunas veces el verano es temporada de incendios... Los incendios forestales son frecuentes, lamentablemente, en especial si se trata de un verano seco. Por lo tanto, por favor, tengan cuidado con las fogatas e incluso con los cigarrillos encendidos.

The Route Interbalnearia is really a good one, but the road inside the spas at Costa de Oro are sometimes a nightmare... you do not know if those are holes or craters... and after the rain, they became nice swimming pools!La Ruta Interbalnearia está en muy buen estado, pero las calles interiores de los balnearios algunas veces son una pesadilla... no sabes si eso que ves son baches o cráteres... y luego de una lluvia, se transforman en simpáticas piscinas!
