Avila de los Caballeros, land of Songs and Saints Avila of Knigths, Land of Songs and Saints, is the highest Province Capital of Spain, situated at 1131 m over sea level, over river Adaja. Still keeps the mediaeval walls, with its nine gates and eighty eight towers. If you go through one of those nine gates, you will find a charming mediaeval town.
