MIRANDO AL SUR Lyrics and music: Eladia Blázquez
I was born in a neighbourhood where luxury was a dace therefor I have my hearth looking at South. My oldman was a bee in the hive, his clean hands, his good soul. In that childhood the temperance forged me, after that the life a thousand ways laid me and I knew the magnate and the gambler, therefor I have my heart looking at South. My neighbourhood was a jasmin plant, my mother's shadow in the garden, the sweet party of simple things and the peace in the grass facing the sun. My neighbourhood was my people, they are not anymore, the things that will never come back Since the day I left with my emotion and my cross I know I have my heart looking at South.
I have my neighbourhood geography inside me, that is what I never left forever. The corner, the store, the children, I recognize, they are mine.
Now I know the distance is not real and I find myself in this cardinal point, coming back to childhood from light, always having my heart looking ant South. |
