Cusco (Q'osqo) is a beutiful old city hidden among high mountains. Its name means "World's Navel"; it was the capital of the Incan Empire, conquered by Spaniards. You can walk along narrow streets and find incan and colonial constructions, that guides you gently to the past. Absolutely charming! Cusco has a population of 300.000; 60% are catholics; the picture shows Plaza de Armas (Parade Ground) during the preliminaries of Black Friday's Procession.
