Los Glaciares National Park is a really large park (600.000 hectares) situated at the South-West area of Province of Santa Cruz. This park reclines on Los Andes Range; a beautiful forest and two big lakes (Argentino and Viedma) take part of it, but the main attraction of the park are, undoubtedly, the wonderful glaciers.
The closest town is El Calafate, situated about 80 Km from the park; the park gateway is situated at Provincial Route Number 11.

Very nice stuff. Been there last year with my fiancee. Truly breathtaking. For people who are thinking about going, I've found this cool link with a virtual tour: www.eitb.com/infography-multimedia/climate-change/virtual-tour/glacier-perito-moreno.html
Hello Andrea, Nice pages and thank you very much for those pages. Happy new year to all of you. Tomas Eriksson :)
Excellent stuff and you have to write it all twice, well done.

Wow!! awesome place feel a need to visit
Great tips and photos. This sounds like quite an adventure.
lovely page!
This place looks absolutly wonderful. I did not expect this kind of landscape in Argentina. Are the no smoking areas (I agree) made to avoid glacier melting :-)))
WOW!!! Love your "minitrekking" and your blue grotto stories, what a spectacular experience! I hope someday I'll be able to visit this park and follow in your footsteps!
