Aconcagua

Aconcagua
Mendoza is a beautifull city; situated in the middle of an arid zone, this place is like an oasis, full of vegetation. This is posible because the water resources are well used: the mountain streams are channeled, and all along the streets there are narrow channels where water runs. The sidewalks are planted with numerous trees, that sink their roots into those channels. Streets and avenues are well planned, in such way that cool breeze blows through the city from wooded parks. Mendoza is also a clean city: squares floors and sidewalks are polished!

(The picture shows Mount Aconcagua, the highest in South America, and probably, one of the most spectacular mountains.)

I was surprised to hear that it is very hot here in summer, even so close to the Andes! Nice looking squares and the Inca Bridge looks fantastic!
