Hello, my name is SingSoc of Loughborough University. In the member's picture are my very best friends. Standing guys from left are Ken Ng (Sports), Zaid or Boon (V.President), Glen Ng (Mr. President), Ting (Events). The sitting gals from left are Lye Yei (Secretary), Gwen (Events), Li Peng (Treasurer), Linna (Advisor).
I come from Xin Ka Po (Singapore). I have friends from Malaysia too. And not forgetting friends from other countries as well, for example, Hong Kong, China, Russia, Romania, etc. (If I have missed you out, forgive me, just drop me a mail to remind me.) Now I am living in a small town called Loughborough (pronounced as Luf-bra) in the midlands of United Kingdom, where I dream of meeting the Queen. It is a small university town surrounded by 3 cities, namely Nottingham, Leicester and Derby.
My aim of being in Luf-bo-ro is to tak chek (study). Sometimes when I get fed up of tak chek, I will go travel lor. Where I go will depend on where my president decide to go...
I will organise trips around UK for my friends to join in and enjoy ourselves. So my dear friends, don't let me down, support my excursions to other parts of UK and let's enjoy our stay togather. I will guarantee the place I choose will be of interest to you. There is so much to see see look look in UK, so... MAI TU LIAO AH, LET's GO!!! (Wait no more, let's go!)
By the way, I speak the Singapore English called Singlish. :-) "Singlish" comes about when we speak so many different languages in Singapore and living togather in a multiracial society. It is a mixture of languages such as English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Malay, etc. In case you do not understand, do ask me and I will explain the vocabulary to you. Many foreigners tried to learn the famous "lah", "hor", "har", "leh", etc. that are added to a sentence. This is a chance for you to see or learn how they are used. Dun any o how use them orr... ;-)
Ahhem, ex-q me (Excuse me)... |
About this page. This travel page will constantly be under construction when I have the time. I will put up the pictures on places where me and my dear friends go and activities that we have participated, and best of all, enjoyed.
In future, I will also include some tips on how to start up in Luf-bra. Not start up a business hor... Oni what you need to know to move from your hometown to the University in Luf-bra.
Be prepared for culture shock! Dun worry, there's a super effective medicine to solve that shock, that is, by joining me to travel around and have fun togather. :-)
If you want to contact me by email, the email address is SingSoc03@virtualtourist.com. You can also give me suggestions on how to improve my webpage.
Ok lah, talk to you soon, or see ya.
Cheers, mate! |
