My grandparents bought a house in Marathon in the late 1940's I spent many happy days there. My grandfather died in 1979 and still my grandmother spent every winter there. I visited her often and together we would have many adventures! Since her death in 1995 I have been back twice (to visit my uncle and his family who live in Key West) I still love the Keys, always will, but it's not the same without Grandma... she was a blast! One of the best traveling companions I've ever had.
I just answered a forum post for the Keys and thought I might as well turn the information into some tips. I'll be looking for some photos to post soon. |
