We moved to Paris in January, 2003, when my husband was transferred here (a tough assignment, but someone has to do it!) and it was home for two years. Paris is a wonderful place to live. With each day came an exciting adventure as we set up a home, learned to get around the city, learned a new language, adjusted to cultural differences, and explored all that Paris, and Europe, had to offer.
We met many kind people in our time there, both locals and other expats from all over the world. We never ran out of places to explore and opportunities to learn. You can spend two days, two weeks or two years in Paris and the time spent will have an effect on you.
If you are lucky enough to visit this beautiful city of light remember to take your time here. Enjoy a walk in the park, linger over a caf? creme at a cafe, and savor a glass of wine in the afternoon. Let Paris permeate your soul and make it your city?it?s so easy to do!
I wish you "bon voyage et ayez un bon temps!" |

ForestqueenNYC Mon Jan 28, 2008 20:24 UTC Since I am always looking for les toilettes, I was glad to read about the parking lots. There is also a very clean free and attended toilette at the Pont Neuf METRO stop right in front of the old La Samaritane. | BeatChick Mon Dec 3, 2007 22:18 UTC Hi Kelly Anne, having been to the movies 3 times in Paris and noticing no snack vendors I wondered what the deal was. Ah, now I know I can take snacks in!! Thanks! I will certainly take your advice on that next time. :) Ahem, I LOVE L'Ete en Pente Douce. | 36waterfalls Wed Aug 9, 2006 09:56 UTC Very good tips Kelly Anne, thanks for sharing! Linda | aemilys Sun Sep 25, 2005 20:38 UTC Merci from one été en pente douce fan to another. I hope you'll do some Asia pages soon |
