This small village is accessed eastbound on Interstate 10 about one hour from New Orleans, and makes a good day trip away from the city.

Well, I guess it's a pity that not many people use the trains here anymore, and looking at the schedules and timing, I guess I can understand why - it'd be faster just to drive your own or rental car, or ride the Greyhound Bus, which seems to have faster and more frequent runs!

According to the Amtrak website, the Sunset Limited stops here thrice weekly for each direction:

Los Angeles-bound: 5:18 Mon.Wed.Fri
Orlando-bound: 11:52 Tues.Fri.Sun
