Passion in stone - Kornati Islands National Park

The god of the sea, Poseidon, had seduced one of Zeuses favorite nymphs. Two had fled the anger of supreme Olympus god by hiding into Hadria bay - Adriatic sea. Here they surrendered to their passion. Mad of jealousy, Zeus had found the lovers, and had thrown his mighty lightning on lusty couple. But Poseidon managed to rescue his loved one by taking her deep under the sea, only his just released seed of passion and fertility got struck by lighting, and Kornati islands were born.

great place to read about! mmm the food! I love seeking out such remote corners (I never stay very long though :-) The stone shrines are just like Inuktuks up North here. Love them!
