Favorite Thing: Rab is famous for its charming medieval old town, dense black forests, numerous pebble beaches, and sandy beaches on the northern tip. Tourism began developing since the City council of Rab in 1889 established special comity to manage roads, rooms and beaches for tourists.

Favorite Thing: It is a total Aromatherapy experience to have a brake under lavish greens of the Komrcar Park just near town of Rab, where you can see laurel, poplar, cypress, Indian fig-tree, rosemary, and even one unconventional trio of polar-tree, Mediterranean pine tree and a century old agava growing close to each other.
The park is criss-crossed by paved pathways, and there are tables and benches on many locations with lovely views over the bay.

Favorite Thing: Beaches in Barbat channel (stretching from the town of Rab to the southeast end of the island) are lovely and small, no crowds, just nature and relaxation. Bring your own food, drinks and umbrella and leave the spot clean and unpolluted, please. Nudist and swimsuits, tolerant, find your small perfect spot under the sun, hide in shade and use UV protection cream.

Slovenka Wed Dec 22, 2004 11:56 UTC No, it's the same Rab!Just seen from another point of view. We spent most of or time in the "jungle" and we don't eat out. For me, Rab is where my heart is, like my second home, and I don't see it from the tourist point of view anymore. LP :-)))	Dumpymotel Tue Nov 2, 2004 23:09 UTC So much great seafood in the Med.... Its so expensive here in the desert for some reason.
