Lovely page, I've really enjoyed my virtual trip. I haven't been to Slovenia yet, but it's on my "want to visit" list. We have kremsnita too in Romania (it's called cremsnit here), actually a mille-feuille, very yummy

Your photo of Lake Bohinj really does make it look magnificent, dark and refreshing. And you certainly make the Kobarid Museum sound fascinating, since it is an anti-war museum telling individual stories and including that Hemingway quotation from “A Farewell to Arms”.

Hi Krista and thanks for the ratings (my first in 6 weeks). We really enjoyed staying near Omis and made it to Bled and Lake Bohinj later on. I may even write some tips on this soon. Bled looks great in the snow.

What a lovely page, particularly the Local Customs. Now I want to go to Slovenia more than ever. It was so frustrating riding through on the bus en-route to Trieste and not being able to get off. Next time :))
