One of my most precious catches, the reason why I carry a compact camera with me almost all the time.
The depth and density of wrong spelling and wording is actually wonderful! :o)
Most of my travels are business related, but I usually manage to stretch it a bit and visit local or nearby places of interest: museums and galleries, flea markets, natural wonders, archaeological sites...
My recent trip was to Rome for the opening of the MAXXI - Museum of the 21th century art, designed by the ultimate pop-star of contemporary architecture and design - Zaha Hadid. The trend of musealisation and cultural franchising is one of my favourite topics of research, together with anthropology, sociology of art, religious studies, studies of gender, identity, ideology ...
Social justice, equal rights and opportunities, sharing and caring,
trying to make sense in this senseless world, seeing through bigotry of ideologies and nationalistic mythologies, refusing to accept violence as a way of 'sorting out' problems, against modern-day slavery and concentration camps, any form of aggression, occupation and war, against exploitation and injustice, neo-colonialism, destruction of nature and human spirit.
This doesn't mean that I walk in rags, chant and dance on the street and eat only plants that died natural death. I live a very active life, work full time, take care of my family, study etc.
But I do my best to use available resources reasonably,
to reduce consumption,
reuse what had to be purchased,
upcycle things that can be put to another use,
and recycle everything possible.
I avoid buying global brands, especially those who abuse poor people and children, make them work in sweatshops, destroy their health and the environment, and give them a wage sufficient just to keep them barely alive.
Shopping - almost always with small scale local producers, from my lettuce to my evening gown. Eco-friendly products.
Multicultural is a description of a complex and 'colourful' social situation with implied basic tolerance. Intercultural social situation includes openness, acceptance, respect, understanding, interaction and cooperation.
I love boating and dream about seeing the world from it's waterfront side. Then, of course, also the 'inside' from local trains and buses.
MOVIES!
Listen to mei karfulei, ei shel sei tzis onlei ouence:
search/google: zizek pervert guide cinema
and get it righ
it is never too late to get it righ
Oh, the Nature is fantastic, architecture and history stunning, art is exciting,
but what amazes me the most are
humans.
And when I get tired of it all, just one night at anchor in some uninhabitet cove is enough to restore my sanity.

Baa...Baa...Baa....from AsiaBarney.
