We walked all the way up to the second level (that is as far as you can walk, you must take elevator to the top). I think we beat the people waiting inline for the elevator. Be careful doing this though there are 704 stairs. It was a really good work out. On the second level there are many things to do, but most importantly buy postcards and stamps so you can send a postcard from the top. Yes they have a mailbox at the very top of the eiffel tower. It will have a special stamp on it that says it came from the top. Much more meaningful than a traditional postcard. The restaurant in the eiffel tower is good. My father and I ate there, but you have to reserve good seats months in advance and it is pretty pricey. You must go to the top of the eiffel tower twice, once during the day and once at night

Musee d'orsay only cost 5,03 Euros and was worth ten times more than that. If you love Monet you will love this museum. I wouldnt overlook this place. They have three waterlillies by monet including the blue waterlillies. My favorite painting was of the Jardin de tuillieuries (if anyone knows where i can get a copy of it i would appreciate it)

I actually took this trip with about 50 other people from my school in france. I would say the average age was 20 and we had a blast. If i had kids i would definitely take them here or if you are still a big kid at heart and have some extra time in Paris.

We stopped here on a busy day of walking around paris and we stayed here for several hours relaxing and people watching. We went in late August and the garden was beautiful. I spent a lot of time here putting my feet in the water and writing in my journal. If you have kids with you they can rent these little boats they can play with in the water. The little french kids were so cute doing this.

Make sure to have plenty of time to look around the cemetery. You will such graves as Oscar Wilde, Chopin, Sara Bernhardt, and of course Jim Morrison. The passage ways are made of cobblestone so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Oscar Wilde's grave is covered in lipstick kisses. The story we heard was that two canandian women came to see the grave and left kisses, then everyone else did the same. It is believed that if helps with infertility. What is funny is that Oscar Wilde was well known for being flamboyantly gay. He was actually thrown in jail for it. Dont steel anything from Jim Morrison's grave because it is being watched by a camera. also see my warning and dangers about this place
