I loved Namibia! The scenery was magnificent, from the impressive Fish River Canyon to the breathtaking dunes at Sossuslvei, and the fascinating wildlife wonder of Etosha National Park.
There isn't much for the city slickers here, but that was fine with me.
Even the unnamed places in between these famous landmarks provided colourful landscapes and never ending vistas of earth and sky.
The skies were glorious in Namibia, from sunrise to sunset.
I suggest a camping holiday, that way you will never miss one of these fantastic shows. I travelled with Drifters, a South African company on a 3 week safari that began in Cape Town and headed north through Namibia then east thru Botswana and Zimbabwe. The group was small, 12 plus 2 guides. We all helped with meal preparation and clean up and were responsible for putting up and taking down our tents. It was a great trip and I highly recommend Drifters!

Never thought a desert could be this beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome "Sossusvle Sand Dune" pic. Cool rock engravings with the giraffe and warthog clearly visible ( I clicked to enlarge to get a better look.) Wonderful t'log pics, esp. the giraffe. Hugs. Lori.
deserts are so amazing and different...they have their own life!you make our next trip so attractive!
What a fantastic trip! Zebras are one of my favorites, too. Excellent tips, and outstanding animal pics! Love the color on those bee-eaters.
I love the Namib landscapes. We traveled the exact same path there. Great info!
There was a contrast going from those massive sand dunes to all those seals :-) That caught me off gaurd, ehhehe. Must of been an oasis!! I don't think it sez what the 10 of you were doing there? Just a tour?
Fantastic pictures! Like the giraffe very much. Great to see a very green Ethosa.
Namibia and the desert - another experience we shared !!
