"Passing through Botswana" Botswana by windsorgirl

Botswana Travel Guide: 899 reviews and 2,156 photos

I only spent 3 days passing through Botswana from Namibia headed to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. I was part of a safari tour organized by a South African company called Drifters.

The highlight of my time here was definitely Chobe National Park where we had both a water safari and a game drive. I also took a scenic flight over Africa's largest and most beautiful oasis, The Okavango Delta.

In Chobe, we came across a very busy watering hole with about 30 elephants drinking, bathing and playing. Mothers with babies, large sparring males and youngsters playing in the water. I could have sat there all day and watched.

What You Need To Know
Botswana is located in southern Africa, just east of Namibia and west of Zimbabwe. It is located directly north of the Republic of South Africa.

We encountered this warthog right at the side of the road.

That croc would be a little too close for me, too! Love your intro pic here, that's an outstanding shot.

I'll probably never get around Botswana, but it's surely interesting to virtually tour it! Okavango delta seems to be very impressive!!!
