ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PLACES

MARBELLA'S DELIGHTS

I have to say I find Marbella has a lot to offer , my favourite place is the orange square with it's orange groves wafting thier scent on the surrounding open air restaurants, with winding cobbled streets laden with quaint shops begging for you to look inside at its delectable wares the odd church and square here and there. A very good market on Monday mornings
The 5* hotels that stetch along the main drag to Puorto Banus are some of the finest in the world.
I feel the name they have given this area 'the playground for the rich and famous is so apt.!

PUERTO BANUS

Paurto Banus with its fine marina surrounded by some very but quite expensive retaurants has to be seen people watching whilst having a drink in one of the bars is so relaxing.
Then there are the expensive shops to browse in well it costs nothing to dream.
There is also a casino if you like a little gamble.
Behind the marina area towards the back of the resort you can find more shops and retaurants a little less expensive.
Not somewhere to bring children I dont think except to sight see for a day.

Be in by midnight in Puerto Banus

Oh dear after me telling you how wonderful Puerto Banus is,I have now seen a negative side to the port.

I have just got back from a girlie weekend and although I knew of the seedy bars I was shocked to see so many ladies of the night in the music bars selling thier wares.
It put a different slant on my view of Puerto Banus I know they have always been around but it was not as noticable before, somthing must be done very quickly before people like myself stop visiting.
However if you leave the port by midnight I'm sure they would not be in your face quite so much.

Pros:"plenty to see and do"
Cons:"expensive, watch out for the seedy bars"
In A Nutshell:"I have been 8 times and still intend on coming back"

Good start, lets have a pic of the Orange Square (Plaza de los Naranjos). Greetings from Gibraltar.
