Welcome to Fort Myers Beach

by tpangelinan - last update: Sep 10, 2006

Beautiful beach and great sunsets

Fort Myers Beach Pier at sunset
This is a great beach town, full of things to do and see. Lots of wonderful little stores along the main drag to keep you busy eating & shopping. The beach is wide, clean and has soft and hard sand for your tanning pleasure. Terry & I took the family here on vacation this year and had a wonderful time exploring the area. So come have a look and see the many thing to do here. At night this town really comes alive, shopping, entertainers in Time Square, people watching, icecream and much more!

Doc Ford's has replaced The Bridge and is worth visiting and is now one of my favorite restaurants. I am not affiliated with them at all; just a boater who lives in Bonita and wanted to share that this is a great replacement for the mediocre place before.

As of January 2009 the Bridge Restaurant was closed.

Thanks for all the tips. In 3 weeks I am leaving cold, snow covered PA for Fort Myers, FL. Can't wait!
