It's better in the Bahamas! Welcome to the Lucaya, great beaches with soft white sand, wonderful ocean breezes, lots to do, see, eat, shopping and very friendly locals. This was our first visit to the Bahamas and it was perfect. We stayed for 8 days and tried to make the most of it we could. This is a wonderful island, fun to explore so grab a rental car and hit the road! Grand Bahama Island stretching only 96 miles long and 17 miles at it's widest point and only a few main roads, Grand Bahama Airport in Freeport is the mainairport for the island and only about 15 minutes to Port Lucaya.
