First of all I want to note that I write about Siauliai only what i actually think or what I saw there. It's not a tourist advertisement but just REAL information.

Siauliai is actually nothing special, it's a city of 150,000 residents.Siauliai is one of the oldest cities in Lithuania but unfortunately no old buildings left except the Church of St. Peter and Paul which is really nice and impressive. After Lithuania regained independence in 1991 Siauliai became one of the poorest cities. Unemployment rates were very high. Now the situation is better, some business activity occured during last few years. Also there's a possibility that NATO will establish its airbase in a former Soviet military airdrome which is one of the largest military airdromes in whole Europe. It could become a way to city's prosperity.

It's a medium size supermarket, located in the city center near the so called 'Bulvaras' (a long pedestrian alley).... more travel advice
