Stay for a week and go skiing or boarding. Big change from the flat lands in Florida. Make sure to book a flight in advance to save lot's of money. It helps to know someone there to stay with :).
When you wake up in the morning and take a look outside, it's enlightening to see a fresh dump of powder. That means a great day for skiing or boarding on the mountains.
Make sure you have lot's of warm clothes and water proof outer wear. And for the adventurous, wear a helmet for goodness sakes. You WILL fall and you don't want to spend your vacation in the hospital.

- Cons:Roads get icy, be careful not to slide around too much...
