First destination in Thailand is Bangkok, Thailands capital city and arrival point of every tourist visiting Thailand.
Khao San Road is the main point for most tourists first night, it's jam packed with cheap clothes, electrical items and jewelry. Plus lots of drinking establishments.
In my four months I passed through Bangkok 4 times and only stayed for one night each visit. I do not like cities as there are far too many people and far too much pollution.
All said and done there are lots of things to do and many fantastic sights to see, wats and museums along with the nightlife, some of the best nightclubs outside of london and new york. One word of caution, Watch out for the ladyboys, unless you're into that sort of thing.
