I had never visited such a beautiful city with so much charm, peace and tranquility..... such a laid back, relaxing great place to vacation!
I stayed all over the island in a few different hotels, and if you rent a car then its easy to stay in different parts of the island. However you must brave the steep mountainside roads in order to see the most fabulous places!!!
Some extrememly hospitable expatriots from different parts of Europe were living in a beautiful little village called Fornalutx, and that was the most beautiful part of the island to stay in.
It is a very old, mountainside village, close to Soller. I think another VT member has an entire website about Fornalutx..... check that out!
I highly recommend a visit to Mallorca, if you've never been!
Es Trenc was by far the most beautiful beach there, with its Caribbean blue water, its kilometre-long fine sandy beach and some dunes. It offers enough free space for everyone. For us is Mallorca a super vacation island, without the feared catastrophic excrescences of the mass tourism. We will come back again sometimes. |
