You will need to make a reservation for dinner in Saba. It's a really popular thai restaurant just off Grafton Street. Saba means Happy Meeting Place in Thai. They have a great cocktail bar and have won several awards for best restaurant and cocktail bar. Open from 12pm to 11pm.
If you also want to take some cookery lessons they cost €175 per person which is quiet steep but many friends of mine who took the course said it was well worth the money. For more information see the following website for more details. www.fabfoodtrails.com

If you like huge Burgers and Steaks. This is the place to visit. Typical American food, huge plate fulls of big burgers and steaks, loaded with french fries, and all the trimmings. While your waiting for your table you can enjoy a cocktail and look around with all the plaques, guitars, posters on the walls. Some very interesting stuff.
Favorite Dish: Starters consist of Chicken goujons, potato skins, nachos, chicken wings and breaded mushrooms, starting from 6 to 11 Euro. For the main course you have a huge choice of Burgers, all served with french fries. Prices around 11 Euro. You can also have steak sandwiches, sirloin of beef, or fillet. A little more expensive at around 25.00. If you like chilli con carne, beef lasagne or burritos you can find them on the menu for around 10 Euro. A selection of chicken and fish is also available, as is vegetarian and salads.

Fish & Chips... if you want to experience what Dubliners have been eating for years on end, check out Leo Burdocks in Werberg Street. This is a landmark where there is always a queue and well worth the wait. It's a take away which means basically no sitting down. However if you go towards Christ Church and on the left of that you will find a small park, more like a big garden where you can sit down as sample this delicious food or why not eat in the grounds of Christ church. Don't forget to ask for napkins as they don't give them to you automatically. Plastic knives and forks are also provided if you ask. This place is so popular that they have opened several sit down restaurants in other locations. Not for those who dislike greasy food although the fish and chips are not cooked in oil but dripping. Average price €4 for chips and from €4 to 7 for fish. One portion is enough for two people. It has been frequented by Cabinet Ministers, Rock Stars, Actors, Poets, Foreign Visitors as you will see when you're waiting in the Q read the plaque on the wall outside which lists the many famous people who have popped in for the famous fish and chips. .
Favorite Dish: Very tasty and not like other fish and chip shops...I can't tell you the secret... because l don't know it.... you have to believe me on this one...

Meeting House Square
.If you're in Dublin on a Saturday morning head to the Meeting House Square in Temple Bar just behind Eustace Street. You can buy freshly baked bread, fresh vegetables and home made cheese or have a made to order pancake or sushi, paella and waffles. Lots of organic, gourmet and imported foods. Well worth the visit if only for the delicious smells. A great buzz about the place. You can also visit the Gallery of Photography which is located in the square and admission is free. During July and August they show free movies in the square on a giant screen in the evening. Start time around 10pm. You don't need tickets just get there early. Take a brolly with you, it is outdoors.

Sushi
This is Dublin's latest restaurant. The first conveyor belt sushi bar. Inside is very pleasant the staff are friendly even if they have not yet mastered the English language. We were shown to our seats and given a menu whislt we watched the conveyor belt going round with so many delicious dishes on it. The restaurant have a special for 55 minutes you can eat as much as you like for ?24.50 including service charge and a free welcome drink.
Favorite Dish: For 55 minutes you can taste everything.. of course the sushi is catered for the Irish palette. I decided to opt for the Tereki chicken (probably spelt that wrong) and a starter of King size prawns. However l did taste everything my friend had and l must say the all you can eat is a much better option. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes their food and is not on a budget.

Gruel is a centrally located popular Dublin café. The signature dish is delicious and called "Roast in a Roll" served daily. Each day diners can enjoy a different roast with some well-chosen garnishes in an ample crusty roll.
Soup, sandwiches and salads as well as the popular "Roast in a Roll" are the highlights of Gruel. Steaming bowls of hot homemade soup with tasty ingredients such as grilled red pepper and prawn soup sweetly spiced and filled with chunks of carrot and aubergine can be enjoyed. Large salads are very popular at Gruel. Diners can choose from an enormous selection of salads placed on a large table in the centre of the room.
A good choice of beverages complements each meal including two kinds of Italian lager, Maeve's Crystal and an impressive choice of healthy fruit juices and smoothies. Gruel offers diners a good choice of teas and popular Italian brand, Illy coffee is available. Gruel is unusual to most Dublin Cafes as it stays open later and can be visited seven days a week.
