Camping in the Yukon I camped in the Yukon Territory near Haines Junction (a cool little town near the entrance to Kluane National Park, kinda a small-scale Estes Park, CO) at a roadside campsite. The view of the lake was magnificent and of the Kluane Mountains. One piece of advice...if you go in the summer (I went in mid-June while traveling the Alaska Highway)...bring mosquito netting! Those bugs are BIG, THICK and PERSISTENT! |

no pics of the mutant mosquitos? nooo, better you preserve your camera, they sound like they would carry it right off into the swamps! they also sound like they flew directly to the Yukon from Florida.......;-O |
