The fact that the English actually consider Marlow "lovely" and "posh" tells you a lot about the UK. There are in fact some attractive-looking (albeit insanely overpriced) towns and villages along the Thames river, such as Henley, but Marlow isn't one of them.

Expect to pay the equivalent of over $600,000 USD for a one bedroom apartment with no dishwasher, no space, no garage, and zero charm here.

I'm living here temporarily because the other towns near where my company is located are even worse. Of course, I will escape from England as soon as possible, but need to find the right job in the right country first.
