Amalia Rodrigues Foundation Museum. Out-of-the-way museums and sights Review

This was the house where Amalia Rodrigues spent her last 45 years. Here six rooms are open to the public. These are almost like Amalia left them. The hall; with a huge Amalia's portrait; the dining room, the guest bedroom; Amalia's bedroom and the living room.

Among her belongings there are some of her stage dresses and many medals she got during her long career.

Unfortunately it isn't allowed to take pics inside the house.

Almalia's house is located in Rua de Sao Bento, 193. It is not far from the Parliament building. The nearest metro stop is Rato.

This palace was built in 1523. Its facade is made of stones cut in the shape of diamonds.
