Barcelona Transportation

To / From Airport: Aerobus.
  • Tip Rating:
  • 'Mode': TO
    Category: Bus
Getting TO/AROUND: Aerobus is the name given to buses running from the airport to the city centre and viceversa. This service operates normally every 15 minutes; between 6.00 a. m. and 12 p. m. These buses stop in front of each of the 3 terminal buildings.

Tickets are sold by the driver.

If you have to check what terminal you have to go on your return flight; you have to know that terminal 1 is very far from terminal 3.

Getting TO/AROUND: These two storey buses take you all around the city and stop near the main attractions. It covers two routes and stops at 42 places. On every bus there is a guide who will give you a short description in several languages to what you will find at each stop.

You can get off or on these buses as many times as you like.

You can buy your ticket on the bus or at any tourist information office. There are also tickets valid for more than one day on sale. Once you bought your ticket you are given a guide book and a leaftlet with many discount coupons you can use at some museums, restaurants; at the zoo, acquarium etc.

    Metro: By tube.
  • Tip Rating:
  • 'Mode': AROUND
    Category: Subway/Metro
Getting TO/AROUND: When I was in Barcelona I used to travel a lot by underground. The metro system runs all over the city.

I should recommend to buy a T10 ticket. This is valid for 10 travels and can be used by different persons. You can buy it at every tube station.
