Florence was the former capital of Italy. Today it is the capital of the region Tuscany. The town is located almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula and it spreads on the banks of the Arno river.
The town was home to many famous people as Dante Alighieri, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Leonardo da Vinci and Donatello. |
