Lijiang is highly OVER-touristed and these tourists converge in a maze of cobblestone alleyways. I hate tourists and places like this, and yet for some reason I was able to block them out! Lijiang can be explored for days and your still bound to find different alleys. The old wooden building and the canals make being there such a romantic experience. Cafe's perched along he canals. People lightng candles and letting the river take them away. So nice! The NAxi people are amazingly kind and fun. The sights in and around Lijiange can be quite pricey... but I suppose it's worth it if you like those kinds of things!... |
