Located near the Valley of the Kings is the Valley of the Queens. This also has some amazing tombs, including that if the great Queen Nefertari, wife of ramese II. This tomb in in perfect condition is is AMAZING and you MUST go!!!!!!

Valley of the Kings (KV) Valley of the Kings Review

This is my most reccomended must see activity for Luxor. You MUST go to the valley of the kings to see all the tombs of the most famous Pharoes of Egypt. The Kings from Amose to Ramses XI or so tombs' are here. It is amazing to be inside these tombs. Ther walls are painted in great detail and some of the tombs even have a sarcofagus in it. The enterence tickey allows you to visit 3 different open tombs and if you want to visit Tut's tomb it costs extra.

Dier Al-Bahari Hatchepsut temple Temple of Hatshepsut Review

This is the Hatchepsut temple, located near the Valley of the Kings. It is an impressive three story temple built out of the mountain. There is now an ongoing reconstruction project there by the Polish, so some of the floors may be closed. This is a must see! Also look for old tree stumps near the enterence, thoes trees were planted by the queen herself!

Temple of Luxor Luxor Temple Review

This is another must see temple for Luxor. It is located near Karnak and is spectacular as well. Not as big, but impressive all the same. The huge Oblisk is here!

This remarkable temple took over 1000 years to complete. It is amazing and a must see, a three hour tour is minimal!!
