There is always a first time!
This year my wife, Felicienne and I, took the decision to spend our holidays in Portugal.
We never visited that country before, because in Belgium Portugal is not so popular for mass tourism. While preparing the trip I read a lot about Portugal’s history and discovered it had a lot to offer, not only cultural and historical, but also for its beautiful landscape.
Since I’m retired I prefer travelling in low season. So off we went!!!
- Pros:It’s a paradise for people who love the combination of history, culture, sandy beaches, wine tasting and seafood.
- Cons:Roads in the countryside and streets in the cities are very poorly signposted which leads to dangerous situations and a loss of time.
- In a nutshell:Portugal is so rich in history, culture, national parks, landscapes and curiosities that it’s worth to return several times and last but not least the Portuguese people are very nice and helpful.
