General information

Kazan is a very beautiful provincial town.It is situated on the Great Russian River Volga, in the central part of Russia.Long, long ago it was the capital of Kazan Khan state, which was the part of Golden Horde,but now it is a part of Russia.
It is a town with many interesting places to visit. And one of the peculiarities is that Kazan has many lakes, & one of them is never covered with ice(the temperature of water in it is always +4) . Kazan combines specific features both of Russian and Tatar( 1 of Turkic nationalities) cultures. It also has a developed net of entertainment establishments. I assure You, if you visit Kazan, You won't feel disappointed.You'll have a lot of fun.

Kazan is inseparably linked not only with Alexander Pushkin, Yevgeny Baratynsky, Lev Tolstoy, Nikolai Lobachevsky, Maxim Gorky and Fyodor Chaliapin, who was born in Kazan, but also with outstanding representatives of Tatare culture, such as Kayum Nasyri, Shigabetdin Mardzhani, Gabdulla Tukay, Fatikh Amirkhan and Gayaz Iskhaki. .
