Colorado Springs Travel Guide: 517 reviews and 1,023 photos
Went to visit one of my best friends and his family in the Springs. Happened to be there during a hot air balloon festival. VEry cool at night, the next morning we went back and watched 200+ balloons fly away.
Garden of the Gods is one of the few land mark areas in town. Where the mountains meet the plains back when Colorado was an ocean- sandstone erupted from the earth's core and cooled down in the ocean- left a very cool park.
Man, I was sure tubby back then!
Pros and Cons
- Pros:wide open spaces, close to Denver
- Cons:Not Denver, too many new housing tracks, bland
- In a nutshell:Military and suburbia. Good to live there, but visiting is just ok. Better have great freinds like I do.
