Salinas is a large farming community just south of Gilroy & San Jose. Not a ton to do, but there is some amazing Mexican food served here. I used to drive through on trips to Southern California to visit friends. Never a real spot to stop for any amount of time. Would be a good place to raise a family if you like a small town feel in a relatively remote big city. |

Ewingjr98 Mon Mar 26, 2007 21:44 UTC Loved the picture of Lettuce Nuts. 5-star tip all the way! In fact...I'm gonna drive over there this afternoon and see if I can't track down old Mr. Nuts. | squidly2 Wed Apr 19, 2006 00:25 UTC That's hilarious; wonder if it's still there... Any idea what road it's on? |
