Cafe Camelot - Krakow

Cafe Camelot

Café Camelot: Fantastic café Loch Camelot Review

The 'Camelot' is one of Krakow's cosiest and most atmospheric cafes where you could spend hours sitting beside the ancient fireplace drinking cappuccino and reading newspapers. They also offer a selection of tasty cakes. There's one bright smoking section filled with antiques, and a dark red, almost infernal non-smoking section (quite paradoxical), which is mostly empty.

Comparison: more expensive than average

Les Couleurs - Krakow

Les Couleurs

Les Couleurs: Vive la France In the Jewish Quarter Review

Les Couleurs, opposite the market square in Kazimierz, is a traditional French cafe with all the necessary accesories such as Gainsbourg posters and music by Brel or Aznavour. It's always packed with locals, totally atmospheric and the perfect place to have a glass of pastis or red wine in the afternoon. 10 out of 10!!

Bombaj Tandoori - Krakow

Bombaj Tandoori

Bombaj Tandoori: For a change

Krakow's most popular Indian restaurant is a bit of a hit-and-miss. Some dishes are very tasty and authentic (Vindaloo Curry), others are bland (chickpeas curry). Still it's worth a visit, the service is very friendly, they have delicious mango lassi, and you get a 20% discount on every subsequent visit.
Mains are between 20-30 pln.

U Stasi - Krakow

U Stasi

U Stasi: Cheap milkbar Bar mleczny Review

This is supposedly Krakow's oldest milkbar, located in a hidden backyard in the Old Town. A milk bar is basically a small canteen-like place which serves dirt-cheap food at lunch time. If you're a tourist, unless you're completely broke, you go there for a cultural experience, not for the food, which is usually acceptable, but not great. U-Stasi served different pierogis (filled dumplings), as well as sausages with mashed potatoes. Not bad, and really cheap.

Address: ul. Mikolajska 16

Comparison: least expensive

Directions: Old Town

Price: less than US$10

Rating: 3
