Rezekne - Rezekne

Rezekne is one of Eastern Latvia's biggest towns, yet at first glance it appears to be a rather drab and uninviting place. Socialist tower blocks, potholed streets, no real town centre, let alone any cafe culture. At closer inspection, however, Rezekne is not that depressing at all : there are nice parks, a river and a lovely neighbourhood of colorful wooden houses on the road to Kraslava.

The Latgale is the only place to stay in town. It's in an ugly concrete tower block and the rooms are quite basic but... more travel advice
