This place is "wow", a must see! Totally nuts but terrific fun!
We visted this place2 times. Once in July. Certainly not the best period of the year. Walking over the Strip by 100°F, the sun is killing you.
At night it was a little better, though only a few degrees cooler.
In April the temperatures feel like in a Belgium "top" Summer. 86°F Just perfect! |
|  | Funny thing is that the sidewalks on the strip and the entrances of a hotel/casino seem to melt into one another.
And then it begins: how do you get out? These casinos are huge labyrinths.
We spent hours searching after exits between the "pling, ploing" sounds of the slots.
The cashiers and waiters are not really willing to tell you how to get out :-)
So we resigned ourself into the Las Vegas "culture" and enjoyed everything we saw. |
| | Our second visit was surprizing. Excepted for the demolishing of The Fronteer, a few new hotels, such as the Wynn, nothing has changed!
Same madness, same overkill...and we still love it. |

"Nothing is real" ... "nuts" ... "madness" ... "overkill". Yes, you have summed up Las Vegas! :) I agree, though, that is one of the top travel destinations in the US. I especially like the free drinks and inexpensive buffets in the casinos. | Nemorino Thu Sep 4, 2008 08:22 UTC

The ride is very short but fast. it lasts about 45 seconds but in that short amount of time you go thru a tunnel, some loops and up a tower, only to come down backwards and do it all over again. In the summer heat it can be draining on the body! |
